Family-friendly hiking to Tuddal
This family-friendly guided day trip (approx. 12 km) takes you from Gausta to Tuddal through fantastic scenery. Lunch at Tuddal Høyfjellshotell and transport back to Gausta are included. Join us on a fantastic hiking trip in beautiful unspoilt mountain scenery, across the municipal border between Tinn and Hjartdal. The trip goes through hilly terrain and passes by several mountain lakes and peaks, giving you a good view of Gaustatoppen, Gaustaknea, Blånipa, Blefjell and Ørnenipa. The trip starts on a gravel road at Gausta along Vatnedalstjønn and into Sløkjedalen. You then move onto the path further south towards the municipal border to Hjartdal. The terrain is more hilly here, and continues towards Svartetjønn and Kyrstjønn. Large parts of the trip are above the tree line – at around 1,000 metres above sea level – before heading back down to Tuddal Høyfjellshotell. Be sure to wear good walking shoes, as some parts can be wet and boggy. Along the way, the guide will find a suitable place for everyone to enjoy a snack – and a great view – before a tasty and well-earned lunch in Tuddal. The trip ends with transport back to Gaustablikk Fjellresort. Age: from 12 years (or younger with parental consent).
